What’s been happening:

In 2007, I graduated from University of California, Irvine, with my Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from the Department of Planning, Policy and Design. I focused on housing policy and worked with a local nonprofit organization, Neighborhood Housing Services, to create a program evaluation plan for them as my masters thesis project. As a masters student, I worked part time for the Children and Families Commission of Orange County, a public foundation committed to the vision that Orange County's young children need safe, supportive and nurturing environments to be healthy and ready to succeed in life. In 2007 I began working full time as a Program Officer for the Commission, managing capacity building grants and funding to homeless shelters that serve women and children. I continue to be involved in the Orange County chapter of the Urban Land Institute, serving on the Young Leaders Group.
